100K! All Round 1 Voter's Choice subclasses are unlocked! New stretch goals!

Voter's Choice Stretch Goals!

We have smashed through 100k and unlocked the last of the Voter's Choice megapack of subclasses! Remember that voting for those will take place after the campaign is complete, but you can submit an ideas already! I have tons of ideas ready, but when it comes to Voter's Choice the more options the merrier.

Feats for Monsters?!

Uh-oh, the next Stretch Goal was a trap, this one empowers the DM! A collection of drag and drop abilities that you can use to turn any monster into an instantly unique and elite encounter! As soon as I dropped the Active Martial Feats on VTT originally I saw DMs gravitate towards slamming those bad boys on monsters as fun recharge abilities, and an idea was born! If we hit this stretch goal, I'll expand that idea into a full subsection!

Along with that will come a monster section armed to the teeth - I'm told the monster section of the last book has been a big hit. Of course, these monsters will come with plenty of new art, boosting the art pack and VTT Token packs further!

Horizon Stretch Goals

I already revealed the Doggo Stretch Goal at $194,420 (the total of the last Kickstarter on Kickstarter), but let's make the Battle Systems return official at 200k. If we can bring down that lofty target in the distance, prepare to drop your heroes into the heart of a raging battle where they can make the difference - both as the slaughter enemy elites (...perhaps with unique new Feats for Monsters to make that a challenge!), and call the shots with the card-based tactics!

It's a whole new system that takes your 5e skirmishes, battles, and full blown wars to an elevated level, all while keeping the PCs in the heart of the action.

/r/UnearthedArcana Giveaway

We've had an amazing run so far, and to celebrate far and wide I'm running give away over on the /r/UnearthedArcana subreddit. For those that didn't know the Kibbles-origin-story 5 years ago I got my start posting 5e content over there, so at the suggestion of the mods over there I've decided to celebrate the success by giving away some of the PDFs and even hardcover books from the last KS over there, and it's free for anyone to join the fun. The more folks that enter, the more I'll give away.

Roll20 Module Added! + 90k Reached!

Hey Folks-

Roll20 Option

There's now a Roll20 option! Ya'll that were asking for it better grab it and make me not regret that!

It is already added as an add on you can include, and will be a choice for the VTT tier.

As for the Legend tier, since we are not having quite the stack of different VTT versions, how about if I basically just let Legend tier folks pick any 2 VTT versions they want? Currently it promises 2 VTT versions (as there were only 2 originally) so that seems fair to me (...and I cannot imagine more folks need more than 2 different VTT versions...)

90K reached!

Wasn't going to an update for just this, but while here... we've reached 90k and unlocked yet another voter's choice subclass! This time with an Occultist subclass!

Remember that while you can already submit ideas for Voter's Choice polls, voting will take place once the campaign concludes!

Short update this time around as it was a bonus update to get the Roll20 module news out, so I'll leave it at that, but this was an awesome Day 3 all around - we somehow brought in almost as many folks to as Day 2! Keep getting the word out and I'll need to cart more stretch goals in, but never fear, I have plenty more so far!

Day 3: 80k! +1 Warden, +1 Spellblade! We continue to chew through stretch goals!

Hey Folks,

We've climbed past 80k and marched two more stretch goals since the last update!

• 70k: +1 Voter's Choice Spellblade Subclass
• 80k: +1 Voter's Choice Warden Subclass

For those keep track at home, that brings us to +2 Spellblade Subclasses (Voter's Choice + Blood Magic), +2 Warden Subclasses (Voter's Choice + Blood Magic Bloodforger), and +1 Occultist subclass (Blood Magic Cultist)!

Do you want to submit ideas for the Voter's Choice round? Feel free to leave them here! I have plenty of ideas, but am always happy to toss fresh ones into the mix when it comes to Voter's Choice rounds (note: this is not voting, actual voting will be after the campaign so all backers can vote, this is just to toss ideas out there for folks that want to).

I may need to start preparing for what comes after the megapack of Voter's Choice, and I think I have some good ideas ready to go if we need them.

Kickstarter Shout Outs!

As folks familiar with my last Kickstarter will know, I love to share out cool adjacent Kickstarters throughout these updates; as always, some of them are cross promotions, but they are not sponsored; just stuff I think is cool.

During the mad dash of the first few updates I didn't have any, but now we can expect a steady stream, with the first up being RPG ESSENTIALS: Acrylic Creature Tokens for TTRPGs by Splattered Ink. It's not specifically 5e, but has tons of 5e monsters and honestly looks cool - I'm going to back it as soon as I finish typing this up even though I already have too many minis I'm sure I can find a use for them. These are available in bulk with a huge variety, with digital options for VTT-enjoyers for those that prefer the top down token look :)

Thanks for making this an amazing launch so far, and I think we are going to keep plowing through stretch goals. 90k and 100k are in our sights to round out the first Voter's Choice stretch goal round! From there we'll have some different goals but I'm not above bringing even more back if we need it.

Class Magic Items Unlocked! Voter's Choice Stretch Megapack of Stretch Goals Set!

Day 1 is done, and we've cleared 60k and just hit 1,000 (exactly as I type this!) backers. A truly incredible launch... this is a Kickstarter I would have been happy to run by the end it's Day 1, so yes, incredible is the only way to put it. Since you guys are the ones that smashed through the stretch goals, it only makes sense that the next set (4 at a time this time!) is putting the power in your hand for a series for 4 Voter's Choice subclasses - one for each class! We did these with the last Kickstarter and I'll take ideas and combine them with the pool of existing ideas, and have you folks vote on what gets made. This is extra work, but extra work I'm more than happy to do.

I've also gone ahead and revealed a secret bonus stretch goal at the realm beyond sanity... it seems like a rather specific number! If we exceed the insane final funding number of Kickstarter 1, I'll bring the infamous Doggo Sidekick Class to print... along with 2 more side kick classes not originally made as April Fool's jokes :)

As long as you folks keep spreading the wording and this Kickstarter out the people, I got new stretch goals to flesh this book out.

I am being cognizant of the work the stretch goals add - and it is adding to the page count and ambition of the project. But I also have plenty of ideas to get them done. I love making stuff for 5e, and honestly I'll be thrilled to put the time in to bring the maximum ambition version of the book to life if we get there.

If we somehow get even beyond that, well, I've got some ideas, but that's where we'll see stretch goals get a little more modest - all mortals have limits, but I think we are safe for now.

Blood Magic Unlocked! Stretch Goal 2 in sight!

...I still haven't gotten breakfast yet. You folks are keeping me busy.

Blood Magic is UNLOCKED! We'll have 4+ new subclasses (Wardem, Occultist, Spellblade + voter's choice for the 4th will be decided by polls), and bevy of bloody new spells.

Now, onto the next - Magic Items? What hero can go without, and so we'll have 25+ new magic items added to the book, with at least 5 specifically designed for each class, including custom art.

Ya'll think you can run me out of stretch goals, but I came prepared for you this time... just, uh... not quite this fast... 

This has been an amazing start. That last Kickstarter smashed all of my expectations and that raised 19k in the first day, and we've already sailed past that.

Thank you all so much for being here, and for being the folks that make this happen. At this rate we 300 pages is looking certainly possible... It'll nicely match the last one as twin tomes on the shelf!

Now I'll see if I can get breakfast before I need to get back to updated stretch goals :D
